Want things to be a bit more casual, instead? Arrange to meet your other half at ‘Stockholm Under Stjärnorna’, among the latest additions to the capital’s nightly entertainment scene, this laidback and super-social venue some 50 metres above street level is cool, casual and totally fun!

If quiet isn’t your thing, make your way to this eclectic hotel on Södermalm. Behind its multi-coloured glass facade, Hellsten Glashus hosts a number of regular live music events within its Glashuset WY13 venue – much to the delight of local music aficionados.
Despite the hotel’s apparent trendiness, the scene here is surprisingly friendly and welcoming, with Hellsten being an avid supporter of the LGBT+ community. Why not surprise someone with a spontaneous night of jazz, paired with colourful cocktails and dancing? And if you slow-dance until late at night, you might as well check into one of the quirky rooms at Glashus – though you might not get much sleep…
